Resources

Resource tiles grow base materials needed for buildings and upgrades: Wheat Wheat, Wood Wood, and Stone Stone. Each grows at a set rate up to max capacity (based on variant and level). Resources regrow passively in real-time during runs and when the game is closed.

Harvest by running characters into tiles or placing them within gathering building zones. Characters bounce off resource tiles (except wheat) and harvest 1 unit by default. Upgrades allow harvesting while passing through and increase yield per harvest. Each resource starts with a 2x2 version (except Stone Stone), with later unlocks for more efficient 1x1 variants.

Generally, Wheat Wheat is easiest to accumulate in high volumes, Stone Stone is hardest and lowest yield, and Wood Wood falls in between.

Basic Resource Tiles (2x2)

Wheat Field

Wheat

Initial 2x2 Wheat Wheat tile, available from start. Does NOT bounce characters. Starts at 1 capacity, upgrades to 7. Can be passively harvested by Farm or Single Family Home (once Empty Nester unlocks it). Regrowth rate increases with nearby Villa (Cogitator level 3+).

Gathering Buildings

These buildings automatically gather resources without player input when a character is assigned and resources are within the effect zone. Characters assigned to most gathering buildings (except Gold Mine and Gatherer's Hut) remain available for harvest runs. Resource tiles only need to touch (not be fully inside) the effect zone for efficient farm layouts.

Automatically harvests Wheat Wheat tiles within a 2-tile radius in all directions. One Farm can harvest from up to 12 base Wheat Fields with optimal placement.
